Hours and Contact Information

Interview tapes, indexes, and extant transcripts may be accessed by appointment only at the Oral History Program--a division of the University Archives and Records Management Service--at 425 Steenbock Memorial Library from 8:00-4:30, Monday through Friday, excluding mandated holidays. (For directions, click here.) Please note that several of the interviews are restricted. To consult these, you must first obtain the interviewee's written permission.

Cassette copies of interview tapes are available for $10 per tape for campus patrons, $15 for non-UW students and $20 for all others, plus postage and handling. The Oral History Program now can create digital copies of recordings. Copies of extant transcripts are available at .15 per page, plus postage and handling.
