I wonder if this group of broomball players was affiliated with the Wisconsin Hoofers at all. The Hoofer Outing Club maintains this activity http://www.hooferouting.org/others/broomball.php and there was a broomball tournament at the most recent Hoofer Winter Carnival.Nathan Williams, Madison, WI
This photo is of the 1977 national championship team. Current UW men's hockey head coach Mike Eaves is seated on the far left side in the front row.
Anonymous, Madison, Wis.
The year on this photo is incorrect. This was the 1977 championship team. They didn't win the title in 1978. Just thought you should know for the sake of accuracy. Great photos. Thanks for posting them.

This photo is from Wisconsin's exhibition game against the U.S. Olympic team on Dec. 7, 1987 at the Dane County Coliseum. Former Badger Mike Richter is in net for Team USA. I am fairly sure that the Badger in the air is Greg Poss.
Anonymous, Madison, Wis.
The woman standing in the back row fifth from the right is UW-Madison employee, Patricia (Paddy) Rourke.

Gary Johnson in goal, Don Addision (or Bob Busse) clearing the net and Chuck Ellis staying away from the action in background. Looks like it is versus Colorado College. Anybody else think other wise?
Go Badgers!
Chuck Ellis, Fairfield, CT
The Wisconsin player preventing the Colorado College player from getting to the puck next to the net is Bob Busse. The Badger goal tender is Gary Johnson. The game was played at Hartmeyer arena during the 64/65 season (2nd year of the new era of Wisconsin Hockey).
Bob Busse, Hot Springs Village, AR

This photo is of Kurt Semandel from either the 1985-86, 1986-87 or 1987-88 season. Semandel was the only player to wear No. 6 during those years and they had different style uniforms before and after those three years.

This photo is of Doug Macdonald from the 1990 NCAA semifinal game against Boston College at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Wisconsin won the game 2-1 on March 30, 1990.
Anonymous, Madison, Wis.
Doug Macdonald needs to be more square to the net if he wants to put this one in.
Duane Derksen, St. Louis, MO
NCAA Championship team with Coach Jeff Sauer and President George HW Bush, 1990
From left to right, the prominent people in this picture are Gary Shuchuk (holding jersey), director of athletics Pat Richter, Don Granato, President Bush, Rob Andringa and head coach Jeff Sauer.
If Pat Richter is 6'2", then I'd wager that both Schchuk and Andringa are about 5'5".
Anonymous, Madison, Wis.
Soaking wet, they'd be pushing a buck-sixty. They must have been physical specimens on the ice and if my memory serves me correctly, I do remember several female alum stating that Andringa was not, especially off the ice...Verne Troyer, Santa Barbara, CA
