Search the Oral History Program Collection

Please enter a search term in the box below, for example "Conrad Elvehjem", "Industrial Relations Research Institute", or "Sterling Hall". You might try variations on your search term, such as including middle initials or names, and trying both acronyms and fully spelled out names. Use quotation marks around phrases.

For example, if you type in "Title IX" (with the quotation marks), the search engine will find five relevant pages. The first page is a listing of the items in the Supplementary Tape Collection. The next four pages list interviews in our collection. If you click on Oral History Guide Entries, 481-490, you will see a listing of the ten interviews in this range, as well as the topics discussed in them. To find the particular interview in which Title IX is discussed, use your web browser's search function. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to the Edit menu and click on Find (on this page). If you are using Netscape Communicator, go to the Edit menu and click on Find in page. Type "Title IX" (without the quotation marks) into the text box to find this term in the page. You will now see that Title IX was mentioned by Katherine S. Saunders-Nordeen and Tamara Flarup in interview #490.

Note that if you wish to find whether a particular individual was interviewed, it might be faster to check our Alphabetical List of Interviewees. If you are looking for all interviews conducted with members of a particular department or unit on campus, you might instead look at our List of Interviewees by Department or Position Held.
